Supervision

My Diploma in Professional Supervision is based on the Seven-Eyed Supervision Model of Hawkins & Shohet and incorporates Michael Carroll’s ‘Tasks of Supervision’ Model.

I am experienced in providing clinical and non-clinical supervision and trained to work with groups and individuals. Together we may also choose to incorporate creativity into our way of working together.

I view supervision as working openly and collaboratively, empowering you as a supervisee to feel safe and emotionally contained within a trusting relationship. Our alliance will permit the growth of ethical competence, nourish your personal development and self-care, whilst influencing wider relationships.

My way of working is aligned to Hawkins and Shohet, (2012) who believeā€¦.

“A good working alliance is not built on a list of agreements or rules but on growing trust, respect and goodwill for both parties.”

The BACP requires counsellors to have a minimum of 1.5 hours of one-to-one supervision per month, and this requirement is often stipulated by counselling course providers too. I, therefore, offer both 60 and 90-minute supervision sessions.

If my way of working is of interest to you, please do get in touch.
